Yiguo Wang has performed in Germany, Spain, Russia, Italy, the United States, and other countries,  has collaborated with orchestras such as the Svetlanov State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Inner Mongolia Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Philharmonic Orchestra, and Guiyang Symphony Orchestra. In recognition of his talent, he participated in the Mariinsky International Piano Festival and was invited by People’s Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev to perform at the “Baikal Star” Music Festival in Irkutsk.

In addition to his solo performances, Yiguo has a strong passion for chamber music. He founded his first piano trio in 2013, which remains active to this day. His chamber experience also includes piano quartets, quintets, and various other ensembles. He performed at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Music (UK) and represented the university on a performance tour in Australia. Chamber music continues to provide him with meaningful opportunities to collaborate with outstanding young musicians from around the world.

Believing in the philosophy that teaching and learning go hand in hand, Yiguo began teaching in high school, working with students of different ages ranging from children to adults and amateurs to pre-professionals. Influenced by his mother, also a pianist, he began his teaching career at her music education institution. His enthusiasm for teaching matches his passion for performing.
As a people’s person, Yiguo is also committed to social responsibility and charitable work. In addition to regular volunteer activities such as teaching children of medical workers from remote areas, he co-organized and performed in a charity concert with his colleagues at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center in 2021 where the proceeds where donated to The Red Cross project.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in piano performance from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he studied with Professor Zhe Tang. He is currently pursuing his graduate studies at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University under the tutelage of Professor Boris Slutsky.
